This technology is similar to NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. It also uses AI to enlarge a low-resolution image with minimal loss of quality. This reduces the load on the GPU.
The Blues showed the system on the Arc A770, which they haven’t even shown yet. Started on PC with this card Shadow of The Tomb Raider at 1440p with ray tracing enabled. As a result, the card without XeSS produced about 51 FPS, and with it – from 60 to 88 FPS, depending on the quality settings.
