The American startup StoryFile offers customers an unusual service – it creates a hologram of a person so that relatives can “communicate” with him even after death. This has been reported daily mail.
First, a digital clone is created in the image of a person – for this, 20 cameras simultaneously record it, while answering a series of questions on selected topics. Startup workers then process the recording, mark individual materials and use them to train the AI. This is necessary so that the AI can naturally answer questions – like a specific person.
The final product is uploaded to the StoryFile database, and after a person’s death, their relatives can “communicate” with a digital clone, as the technology provides the illusion of real dialogue.
Star Trek star William Shatner, who plays the role of Captain Kirk, is known to use the services of the company. He said the actor’s hologram would help “preserve the memory and legacy for posterity”.
