The issue is related to the eSCL protocol not working properly on Windows 11 operating system version 24H2. For this reason, the company blocked the relevant update.
According to Microsoft, the cause of the problem is that the devices cannot switch to USB mode after eSCL.
“After installing Windows 11 version 24H2, you may experience problems detecting USB devices that support the eSCL scanning protocol. The device may not detect the connected USB device. In a statement, Microsoft stated that this issue primarily affects USB-connected MFPs or standalone scanners that support the scanning feature and the eSCL protocol.
eSCL is a protocol designed for scanners that allows you to scan documents without installing drivers. It provides both network and USB scanning capabilities. The issue is caused by the device not being able to switch from eSCL mode to USB mode.
