Belkin is recalling BoostCharge Pro power banks due to fire risk. The portal reports this MacRumors.
Belkin announced that its BoostCharge Pro portable batteries for Apple Watch are being returned due to a defect that could cause the device to overheat and catch fire. The company recommends that users stop using the power bank immediately and contact the support team for further instructions.
The defect was detected in one of the last batches released in May 2023. Belkin promises a refund to all customers and asks that the device be stored in a safe place away from flammable materials.

It was noted that Belkin similarly recalled another wireless charger in 2021 due to the risk of fire. In this case, a malfunction in the wireless charging power supply may cause the device to overheat and catch fire.
