They found that in the code of the second beta version of iOS 18.2, there was mention of a feature called BatteryIntelligence that would show how long it would take for the iPhone to fully charge. The portal reports this 9to5Mac.
The BatteryIntelligence feature will be able to provide users with notifications that estimate the time it will take to reach a certain charge level (e.g. up to 80%). The fact that the feature is not currently active indicates that it is still under development.
A similar feature is already available in the “Battery” section in macOS for MacBook. At the same time, a similar function has been available in Android smartphones for several years.
BatteryIntelligence is expected to work in the stable version of iOS 18.2, which is scheduled for release in early December. It’s possible that the feature will appear in later versions of Apple’s mobile operating system. iOS 18.2 will also add several new AI features to Apple Intelligence, including Genmoji and Image Playgrounds, ChatGPT integration, and Visual Intelligence for creating emoji and images, respectively.
