Chinese company Robot Era demonstrated the new capabilities of its flagship Star1 humanoid robots by testing them in the Gobi Desert. During the race, two robots competed with each other by overcoming challenging routes and desert landscapes. about this reports New edition of Atlas.
The distinguishing feature of one of the robots was sneakers, while the other ran without them. Despite the late start, the sneaker-wearing robot managed to catch up and overtake its rival, reaching speeds of up to 3.6 meters per second for 34 minutes.
Both robots are equipped with powerful motors and high-speed communication modules; this allows them to interact effectively with the environment and adapt to different conditions. The height of the flagship robot is 1.71 m and its weight is 65 kg.
Founded at Tsinghua University in August 2023, Robot Era is committed to bringing universal AI-controlled humanoid robots into home and professional environments. This demonstration of Star1’s capabilities is another step towards achieving this goal.
