Players in the information security market are calling for the creation of an artificial intelligence (AI) center based on one of the regulators that will deal with information security issues in the field of artificial intelligence. About this ComNews stated Director of Research and Development at Kaspersky Lab JSC Anton Ivanov.
According to Ivanov, Russia lacks a unified database on AI threats and user identification mechanisms. Many people use open source libraries to extract images and text from photos, but many have been compromised. There is no information provided on this subject.
“Currently, there is no such mechanism. Therefore, it is necessary to create a center that will deal with the security of artificial intelligence, talk about bookmarks in software used in the development of artificial intelligence and new ways to manipulate artificial intelligence models,” Ivanov noted.
He also explained that data on cyber risks to artificial intelligence can be collected in centers working on the CERT (computer rapid response team) principle. Work on this idea has been ongoing for several years.
Ivanov noted that the most effective solution would be to create a single center to examine the safety of artificial intelligence on the regulatory platform. In the field of classical cybersecurity, there is already a practice of exchanging information on the methods and tools used by attackers, as well as possible signs of compromise. But protecting artificial intelligence requires a new approach.
Previously reported43% of metropolitan businessmen use artificial intelligence in their business.
