Wikipedia was forced to restrict access to the Silent Hill 2 remake page following a series of acts of vandalism by editors who refused to accept positive reviews from critics for the new version of Konami’s horror game. about this reports Eurogamer publication.
False claims about the game’s low Metacritic score, including claims that Eurogamer gave the game 0 out of 5 when it actually had a perfect score, led to the page being placed in a “semi-protected status”. This mode will limit the ability of unregistered users to make unreasonable changes.
The reasons for such actions by internet trolls are unclear, but Eurogamer suggests that they decided to “hate” the remake of Silent Hill 2 due to the redesign of character designs.
Despite limited access to the game, the remake of Silent Hill 2 was appreciated not only by journalists but also by gamers. On Steam, for example, the project has “mostly positive ratings.” In its review, Eurogamer described the new product as the best horror game of the last few years.
The full release of Silent Hill 2 Remake will take place on October 8, 2024. The game will be released only on PlayStation 5 and Windows.
Previously for the third episode of The Witcher appeared Unofficial DLC with a new location.
