Thanks to 3D printing technology, some simple spare parts can be produced directly in the repair department, significantly reducing repair and maintenance time. This eliminates the need to wait for all necessary components to be delivered.
3D printers can print from rubber, composite materials or elastic plastic, making it possible to quickly produce panels for mounting electrical power equipment on armoured vehicles or engine seals, for example.
Military expert Yuri Lyamin stressed the importance of using 3D printers in combat zones, which will help repair units save time.
