Tecno has announced the Phantom V Fold 2 foldable smartphone and the Flip 2 compact clamshell that receives built-in AI-based functions. The portal reports this IXBT.
The Phantom V Fold 2 5G has a 6.42-inch external AMOLED display and a 7.85-inch primary AMOLED display with a 10 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen resolution is 2550×1080 and 2296×2000 pixels, respectively. The hinge of the folding screen is fixed at an angle of 30 to 120 degrees.
The 50-megapixel triple camera is represented by an ultra-wide-angle main module and a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. There are also selfie cameras with a resolution of 32 megapixels each for each screen. The performance of this model is provided by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip, complemented by 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory. Among other things, it is worth noting the presence of Android 14, the presence of Android 14 and support for the Phantom V Pen stylus.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 5G smartphone in a clamshell format is equipped with two AMOLED displays: an external 3.64-inch and a main folding 6.9-inch diagonal with an adaptive refresh rate from 10 to 120 Hz. The screen resolution is 1056×1066 and 1080×2640 pixels, respectively.
There is a dual camera: the main and ultra-wide 50 MP, as well as a 32 MP selfie camera, MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chip, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM. The 4720 mAh battery supports 70 W charging, and the new product runs Android 14.
Both devices will be available in various regions, including Russia. The new products have been supplemented with productive AI functions, including the ability to “redraw” photos, create text, and more. The Phantom V Fold 2 will be priced at $1,100, while the Phantom V Flip 2 will be priced at $700. When and at what price they will be available in the Russian Federation is not specified.
