Dozens of official channels of the world’s most popular video blogger MrBeast appeared on the local analogue of YouTube called “Platform”. A socialbites.ca correspondent drew attention to this.
In total, since the launch of the Platform, more than 20 channels have appeared on the domestic platform, the names of which indicate the pseudonym of a popular YouTube blogger.
At the same time, many of them copy the logo and cover of the MrBeast channel, and next to the names of three channels there is even a “tick” indicating that these are official pages. In fact, this is a simple symbol manually installed in the channel name – the real “tick” used on the local site is placed in a blue circle.
Most of the fake channels have been imitating official content and re-uploading original content for at least a month. It is unknown whether the blogger knew that his videos were being published on the Russian Platform.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is the world’s most popular American video blogger with over 311 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. He rose to fame thanks to his unconventional experiments, stunts, and philanthropy.
Previously in the State Duma offered disable monetization of Russian services for foreign agents.
