The Add Me feature allows you to create group photos by combining two photos taken by different group members so that everyone is in the frame. The innovation was introduced for the Google Pixel 9 series smartphones, which were introduced on August 13.
According to the source, to enable the function on last year’s Pixel 8 Pro, you just need to install the APK file of the Pixel Camera application version 9.5. 118 and activate the “cottage__cottage_enabled” flag using root rights. It is noted that this function uses Google AR Core Services – a software for operating the device in augmented reality mode.
The author of the Google News channel tested Add me on the Pixel 8 Pro and tried to launch the function on the Pixel 6 but did not succeed.
