American technology company Apple plans to introduce two versions of its new fourth-generation wireless headphones AirPods in early September this year. reports 9to5Mac portal with a link to the new issue of the Power On newsletter from insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.
The new AirPods 4 will have to replace the AirPods 2 and 3 models, released in 2019 and 2021, respectively. The middle version of the fourth generation will receive an active noise reduction system, while the basic version will come without it, but externally the headphones will be the same. Both AirPods 4 models are planned to come with a USB-C connector in the charging case, but only the more expensive headphones will support contactless charging.
According to Gurman, there are no plans to update the AirPods Pro lineup yet, adding that AirPods 4 is a possible model name and could actually be different.
The first generation AirPods were announced in September 2016 alongside the iPhone 7, the first iPhone without a headphone jack. AirPods ushered in the era of truly wireless headphones.
Apple’s fall presentation will most likely take place in September, with the new headphones set to debut alongside the 16th-generation iPhone.
Previously Microsoft added A feature that has been awaited in Windows for over 30 years.
