This week, British studio Hello Games rolled out a major update for its No Man’s Sky game called Worlds Part I, which aims to improve its procedural planet generation algorithms. A data miner from X (Twitter) under the pseudonym ThatBomberBoi analyzed the add-on’s code and found a reference to the yet-to-be-announced PlayStation 5 Pro gaming system in it. reports GameMag publication.
In the files for the PlayStation 5 version of World Championship Episode I, user ThatBomberBoi discovered an entry for a system called Trinity. This is likely the codename for the alleged PlayStation 5 Pro model.
According to data from the analysis of the No Man’s Sky update, the dynamic resolution factor will be increased from 0.6 to 0.8, which will reach a range from 1728p to 4K. In addition, the quality of water surfaces in the game will be significantly improved, transferred to the “Ultra” level. The data miner could not find information about other graphical improvements.
Sony has yet to introduce the PlayStation 5 Pro, but the new product is expected to be announced in the fall and released before the end of 2024.
