It recently became known that GPD is preparing a portable game console Win Max 2 in the form factor of a laptop. Earlier it was reported that the version with the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor proved to be better than the version based on the Intel Core i7-1260P. And now the media reported that Valve turned to GPD with a proposal to optimize the Steam OS operating system for Win Max 2 with an AMD chip. At the same time, it is not clear whether the system will be optimized for the version with Intel.

The Chinese company has already confirmed this. This proposal means that Valve will optimize the Steam operating system for the Zen3+ architecture with RDNA2 graphics. This will also improve the performance of Ayaneo, Ayn and AOKZOE consoles.
It is not yet clear how long such work will take, but according to the source it will take at least half a year. GPD currently recommends using the preinstalled Windows 11 Home or replacing it with Windows 10 LTSC.
Earlier, GPD started accepting pre-orders for its portable console.😭 Bumich’s ex-wife promised to place a pron with him for 1 lamb ruble
