A new game from the Doom series was introduced 21:12

Microsoft and ID Software have announced the next installment of the Doom shooter series, subtitled The Dark Ages. The game will take place in an environment similar to the Middle Ages. In this respect reports DTF printing.

ID Software presented the first trailer of the new product at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 presentation. According to the developers, Doom: The Dark Ages will be a kind of prequel to the series and will tell about the adventures of the main character Doom Slayer before earthlings open a portal to Mars.

The game has been in development for more than four years, and in the game the main character will receive a new shield that can be used both to defend and attack opponents. This is one of the new game mechanics of the Dark Ages that are now known.

Doom: The Dark Ages is planned to be released in 2025. The game will be released on computers, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

The previous episode of Doom, subtitled Eternal, was released in 2020. It takes place some time after the events of the 2016 game.
