Lenovo is preparing to release a new, cheaper version of its Legion Go Lite portable game console. In this respect reports Windows Central portal with links to resources.
The company plans to launch a smaller device. To this end, it is assumed that the new product will get a smaller screen and lose the removable controllers, making it lighter and more accessible. The original Legion Go used an 8.8-inch display with a resolution of 1600p and a frequency of 120 Hz, which many users felt was unnecessary for this type of device.
The exact specifications of the reduced model have not yet been announced. Legion Go Lite is expected to be powered by AMD Ryzen processor. It is possible to use the more affordable alternative Z1 instead of the flagship Z1 Extreme chip. For example, the first one is used in the expensive version of Asus ROG Ally, and the second one is used in the cheaper version.
All these changes will allow Lenovo to reduce the cost of the device compared to the original Legion Go model. The presentation of the new product is expected to take place at Computex 2024 in June, where the updated version of ROG Ally X will also be shown.
Previously presented Android console with a 720p square screen and support for PS2 games.
