The loyalty program at the Perekrestok supermarket chain will return to full operation by September 2022. This was announced to socialbites.ca by Ivan Samoylenko, managing partner of B&C Agency.
“The whole process of transferring the network to the new software for the loyalty program will take time just before the end of the summer,” the expert said. Samoylenko stated that the owner of the network, X5 Retail Group, also adheres to such a plan.
According to him, the delay is due to the fact that it takes time to combine previous software and new programs, as well as collect data on previously accumulated errors and failures for their subsequent elimination.
“There are customer complaints that accumulated points from cards are lost, there are cards that just don’t work at individual outlets,” he said.
The expert said that Russian firms are able to provide retailers with the appropriate software to switch from foreign developments. The largest companies in this segment in Russia are Manzana, Mindbox, RS.Loyalty and Loymax.
In April, it was reported that the American company SAS, which develops and integrates solutions for loyalty programs, left Russia. In X5 Retail Group saidIt started the transition process from SAS solutions to its own software products.
