Apple will release a new version of the AirTag surveillance device 05.20.2024, 13:05

Apple is preparing to release an updated version of its AirTag smart tag in mid-2025. In this respect reported Well-known insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.

As Gurman reported, Apple is developing a new version of the tracker codenamed B589. According to him, the company is already completing the production testing phase together with its Asian partners. The new AirTag model is expected to have an updated chip and advanced location tracking features.

These data confirm the earlier assumption of authoritative TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who announced that mass production of the second generation AirTag will be transferred from the fourth quarter of 2024 to the beginning of 2025. Kuo also acknowledged that the new version of the tracker could be integrated into the Apple Vision Pro AR/VR headset, but did not provide additional details.

AirTag is a tracking device developed by Apple. AirTag is designed to locate keys and other personal items such as bags, clothing, electronics, vehicles and more.
