iPhone will be taught to work underwater

The American company Apple has registered a patent that in the future could make it easier to use a smartphone with wet fingers, in the rain or under water. informs Phone Arena portal.

To prevent accidental dropping of the screen, Apple may turn to 3D Touch technology or equivalent, which saves the force of pressing the screen. That’s why the patent shows an example of how the technology works in the “Camera” app – three settings are offered in total for “dry”, “wet” and “underwater” modes.

Depending on the selected mode, changes are made to the Camera interface. For example, some functions will disappear from the screen in “wet” mode. In “Underwater” mode, some controls will get bigger buttons. However, the screen of the smartphone can show the current depth of the device, so users can avoid breaking the iPhone when submerged in water.

It is noted that the existence of a patent does not mean that Apple will implement the technology.

Formerly socialbites.ca saidApple may abandon the familiar touchpad on the MacBook Pro and also integrate wireless charging for the iPhone into the body of the device.
