Russian Minister of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev said that mechanisms to block destructive content in messaging programs will not be created yet. His words are quoted TASS.

“Not yet. For now, we are working within the framework of the current agenda,” Shadayev said.

The proposal was sent by Anatoly Vyborny, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Security Committee of the United Russia party, to the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev.

Vyborny said he has received requests from parents to take action as there is currently no legal prohibition on the distribution of such videos. He suggested that access to such content should be left only to law enforcement.
