Virtual celebrities began depriving popular bloggers of income 16:16

Famous bloggers and Internet stars are alarmed by the growing popularity of non-existent characters created using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It turns out that content creators fear their income will decrease due to competition with artificial intelligence celebrities newspaper Financial Times.

An example of the success of fictional people is Aitana Lopez, who is followed by more than 200 thousand people on social networks. The virtual pink-haired girl has already appeared in ads for brands like Olaplex and Victoria’s Secret. Companies paid Aitana’s creators an average of $1,000 to promote their products.

Creators of digital avatars should note that their personalities are not real people, according to some real-life creators.

But the UK Advertising Standards Authority said it was aware of the rise of virtual influencers in the advertising market. However, the country does not yet have laws requiring the disclosure of the artificial intelligence origin of Internet celebrities.

Other national marketing services markets are already grappling with this issue. In India, for example, virtual character writers are required to disclose their digital identities.
Creators of virtual celebrities believe their characters are disrupting the overinflated market of online influencers.

“We are stunned by the skyrocketing rates among bloggers and online influencers. This led us to think about creating our own influencer. The rest is history. “We unintentionally gave birth to a monster, a very beautiful monster,” said Diana Nunez, co-founder of Barcelona-based agency The Clueless, which created Aitana.

Formerly Microsoft presented A neural network that can create virtual avatars from photos.
