Folding OnePlus Open tested with fire, sand and force 14:16

OnePlus Open foldable smartphone passes celebrity power test YouTube blogger Zach Nelson, aka JerryRigEverything. The device has withstood various tests including scratches, fire and bending.

The blogger appreciated the material quality and protection of the smartphone’s two screens. The external screen received scratches from a Mohs hardness instrument of 6, while the internal flexible screen was effortlessly damaged by fingernail pressure. The fire damaged both panels: the external screen developed a stain after 25 seconds of heating, while the flexible screen developed a stain after only five seconds under fire.

The blogger also checked how sand affects the operation of the hinge and inner display. Despite the crackling sounds, the smartphone did not suffer from this test – the screen was not damaged, but continued to work without errors.

The final test for the OnePlus Open was to bend the smartphone in the opposite direction. The device bent slightly but did not break. The blogger praised the smartphone for its durability and reliability, considering its foldable form factor.

OnePlus Open is the company’s foldable smartphone that was launched as the Oppo Find N3 in some markets, including Russia. Therefore, this data is valid for both devices.
