Vladimir Bengin, director of the cybersecurity department of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, has decided to leave his position in the department. In this respect reports publication “Kommersant” (“Kommersant”).
According to Kommersant, Bengin will leave his post as director of the cybersecurity department in the near future. The decision has already been made and the process of exiting the structure has begun. Bengin told reporters that he left the Ministry of Digital Development at his own request. He did not provide information about his new workplace.
Bengin has been in a leadership position at the Ministry of Digital Development since June 18, 2021. Before that, he worked at the Russian company Positive Technologies, specializing in information security. He held various positions, including product development director.
One of the biggest projects implemented by Bengin at the Ministry of Digital Development was the launch of the Bug Bounty program on the Gosuslugi portal in 2023. The Ministry of Digital Development managed to discover dozens of vulnerabilities of medium and low criticality in State Services, thanks to the efforts of “white hackers”. 8.4 thousand pentesters participated in the program.
