Kaspersky Lab reported that tests of a smartphone running KasperskyOS on 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks have been successfully completed. socialbites.ca was informed about this by the company’s press service. Mobile operator Megafon was Kaspersky Lab’s partner in this project.
A smartphone running KasperskyOS was tested for compliance with cellular communication standards and the accuracy of transferring data over the Internet, making calls, sending SMS and switching between 2G, 3G and 4G standards. An “Asian” smartphone of an unnamed brand took part in the testing. Kaspersky Lab stated that the completion of this project brings the company closer to the stage of releasing serial devices on KasperskyOS.
“KasperskyOS for Mobile was tested according to the laboratory’s test program consisting of more than 250 test scenarios. In each case, records of the exchange of signaling information between the device and the network were recorded. Kaspersky Lab, if necessary, compared the operation of a KasperskyOS-based device with the same device based on the reference operating system” said.
The company said it is also conducting similar tests on the networks of local cellular operators in China and the Middle East.
They had previously created it in Russia application “cure” people’s smartphone addiction.
