South Korean technology giant Samsung introduced its new geolocation tracking device, Galaxy SmartTag 2, which increases functionality and has a more ergonomic design. In this respect reports GSMArena broadcast.

From the outside, the SmartTag 2 is a keychain with a hole printed on it; Using this keychain, the gadget can be attached to keys, a pet’s collar, and more. There are two colors to choose from: white and black.

One of the new features of SmartTag 2 is the so-called lost mode. The owner of the new product can write their contact information on it. If it is lost, the person who finds the tag can use NFC on the smartphone to scan the tag and retrieve the owner’s contact information.

The new power-saving mode can extend battery life up to 700 days, which is twice that of the first-generation SmartTag. In normal mode, the new product works for up to 500 days, that is, 50% longer than the old one.

In the USA, SmartTag 2 will be available on October 11, 2023 at a price of $ 30 (about 3 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of October 5, 2023).

Formerly Google announced flagship smartphone Pixel 8.
