Ukrainian video game development studio GSC Game World has decided not to remove the Russian language from its new project STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Message about it seen In a group called “The Bulletin of the Same Stalker”, which posted a lot of leaks about the game, which was discussed earlier on VKontakte.
“A nice insider tip for you from internal reliable sources – there are no plans to remove Russian text localization and subtitles at this time,” wrote one of the directors of “The Same Stalker” Bulletin, under the pseudonym Nick Frost.
Also, according to Nick Frost, developers have started to partially moderate anti-Russia messages on Discord channels. At the very least, the moderators have started to “punish” users for spamming who regularly request the complete removal of the Russian language from STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
“We’re taking a closer look at the offers now, so stick to the rules,” wrote the moderator of the game’s Discord channel.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024. The game will only be released on PC and Xbox consoles.
