The disconnection of Russia from the 3G communication standard is planned to be completed in the period 2023-2030. This target is included in the strategy of developing the communication sector until 2035. TASS.
At the initial stage, the specialists aim to carry out the development and implementation of the LTE standard in communication networks of Russian equipment, as well as the trial operation of domestic telecommunications equipment of the 5G and 6G-Ready standards.
The industry expects mobile operators to share the underlying infrastructure for the deployment of 5G networks and then 6G by 2030.
Also, at the legislative level, they want to consolidate the basic principles for the further development of 4G and 5G networks in Russia. In particular, we are talking about the use of the radio frequency range 4,800-4,990 MHz with the possibility of expanding it to 4,400-4,990 MHz as the main frequency range to create 5G mobile communication networks.
In addition, experts expect to start using native cryptographic information protection (CIPF) tools for the defense of communication networks.
