New data on future NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 video cards has appeared on the network, and in their opinion, new accelerators could be released much earlier than expected.
More precisely, we are talking about the release at the beginning of the third quarter, that is, in the second half of the summer. This data was shared by a well-known insider Kopite7kimi, although it was previously believed that the card issuance would not take place until September. Now, however, the dates have been moved to July-August.
The new maps are based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. They are credited with a significant performance improvement, new tensor cores and ray tracing cores. The cards also get a boost in power consumption of up to 600W and possibly more.
Little is known about when the company will officially present the cards. This would be a separate event that is unlikely to take place as part of Gamescom 2022 and Computex 2022. At the same time, ticket prices will certainly be higher than current ones, even taking into account the growth due to the shortage of semiconductors and mining.
