The Chinese company Unitree has started accepting pre-orders for an updated version of its Go2 robot dog, which receives improved performance and speaking ability thanks to the built-in GPT chatbot. In this respect informs New Atlas portal.
Weighing about 15 kg, Robodog Go2 received a body 40 cm high and 70 cm long, made of aluminum and high-strength plastic. According to Unitree, the battery will last up to two hours of dog activity.
A key feature of Unitree Go2 is the ability to understand and communicate with a person in natural language using an integrated chatbot that works in real time. This feature is only available in the advanced version.
The Go2 can reach speeds of 12.6 km/h. It is also equipped with ultra-wide-angle LiDAR and an array of high-definition cameras that allow it to scan the area and avoid obstacles on the go. It can overcome difficult terrain such as stairs, rocky surfaces or small cliffs. The robot can follow its owner on command, including running diagonally with it.
The basic Go2 model will be offered for $ 1.6 thousand (about 145.9 thousand rubles), while the Pro version with chatbot will cost $ 3 thousand (about 273.6 thousand rubles).
