The expert talked about the risks of buying non-genuine accessories for the iPhone 15:27

Using non-genuine cables to charge your smartphone may damage the device or even cause a fire. Hardware specialist Kirill Sitnov, a teacher at the Moscow School of Programmers (MSP), spoke about this in an interview with socialbites.ca.

“Due to a poor quality cable, a short circuit is possible that could cause the iPhone to malfunction or ignite. The heating of the smartphone can also be felt due to the inconsistency between the charging standards, ”warns Sitnov.

The second problem when choosing non-original accessories is the unstable operation of the power supply, which can also cause a fire in the device.

“In rare cases, it is possible to incorrectly select the available power during charging. In this regard, you can observe the sharp temporary heating of the smartphone case. This is because charge controllers in smartphones charge the device at low currents during the final stages of battery charging. Non-original charging can ignore it, and the smartphone will overheat, ”the expert said.

Sitnov advises not to save when choosing accessories. It is better to buy only certified accessories or original products from third-party manufacturers to charge your iPhone. To do this, contact large chain stores.
