Google developers have added the ability to record your own sounds for an alarm or timer to the Clock app on the Android mobile operating system. Portal reports XDA Developers.
It is noted that gadget owners can record different sounds directly in the application using the built-in microphone to later set as a signal for an alarm clock or timer.
For example, the authors quote the meowing of a cat or the sound of a loved one. The innovation will be available in the Clock update version 7.3. The feature is currently only available on Google Pixel branded smartphones.
Users could previously use their own alarm sounds, but these had to be recorded separately from the smartphone and then copied to the device’s memory.
