Kuo: Apple’s mixed reality headset may be delayed due to software issues

Apple’s mixed reality headset could be delayed until the second half of 2023. About informs MacRumors portal citing authoritative analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

According to Kuo, the delay is due to unknown issues in the device’s software. As such, Apple’s headphone output may now be delayed to at least the second half of 2023. At the same time, the delivery of components for the headset is scheduled for the first half of 2023.

Instead of the planned 800,000 or 1 million devices, Apple is expected to produce fewer than 500,000 mixed reality headsets.

Kuo believes the big gap between the headset’s presentation and launch could be bad for sales. Therefore, the device was also announced in the first half of 2023.
