Evgenia Lazareva, coordinator of the Moshelovka platform, said: DEA News About the increase in the number of phone scam attacks against Russians since mid-November.

According to him, in September, the number of phone fraud applications received by the organization was 13.8% of the total number of applications for various types of fraud. By mid-November, the activity of phone scammers was declining.

“We attribute this to the destruction of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, where, according to our data, a significant part of the aggressors who attacked the Russians,” Lazareva said.

He explained that scammers cannot carry out their activities without internet and telephone communication. But now the phone scammers have repositioned with the equipment, which explains the increase in the number of attacks since mid-November.
