American mixed martial arts competitor Jeff Molina, a UFC Flyweight contender, spoke openly in a candid video shared across his social media channels about his personal life and public perception.
“I’m bisexual. It wasn’t the moment I pictured for revealing it, but the chance to share when I felt ready was taken away. I hoped to keep my private life out of the spotlight on social networks,” Molina stated.
He added that his goal has always been to be recognized for his fighting ability, not for the label of being a bisexual UFC athlete. Molina has fought 13 times inside the UFC, securing victory in 11 of those bouts. The 25-year-old last competed at a UFC Fight Night event in June of the previous year. He later faced Kazakhstan’s Zhalgas Zhumagulov and won by a decision rendered by one of the judges.
At present, Molina is not listed for ongoing competitions. In December 2022, the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended him from competing. His coaching circle has ties to betting interests that have drawn attention.
Former welterweight star Conor McGregor also weighed in on the topic of continuing his film career in a recent exchange.
