Ways of CF Intercity and Gustavo Siviero remain linked as the team competes in the First RFEF. The club and the Argentine coach have agreed that Siviero will lead the squad in his first match at this level. Since arriving at CF Intercity in December 2020, Siviero has guided the team to two promotions in two seasons. His early work saw the squad advance to the Second RFEF through a tense playoff, with a goal from Martín Bellotti for Elche Ilicitano tipping the balance in favor of the men in black and earning them a place in the fourth tier.
Last season, Siviero steered the club through a historic run, with CF Intercity remaining undefeated for 26 consecutive games. In the end, the team clinched the league title and secure direct promotion after a dramatic battle with rivals La Nucía, the title fight decided on the final day. Siviero demonstrated exceptional ability to manage the squad, drawing on his extensive experience as a player and coach. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the current project, and the renewal marks the coach’s third season at CF Intercity.
“The intention was clear from the start, but we chose to pause briefly to absorb what had been achieved,” Siviero commented after extending his contract. He added that he returns with strong enthusiasm to face what is described as a historic season for the club. The sporting director, Jorge López, noted that keeping the coach is vital for the club’s goals this season, and expressed optimism about continuing the strong collaboration that has yielded consistent success under Siviero’s guidance.
