Nearly 500 young players across Spain will take part in XLV Alicante Base Tennis TrackIt, a prominent multi-stage sporting event scheduled from October through December. The competition brings together top talents from the Valencian Community and other regions, including Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, Murcia, and beyond, creating a national showcase for junior tennis. This edition stands out as one of the longest-running youth championships held on national soil, reflecting a strong tradition of competitive play and community support around the sport.
The event’s leadership includes the Sports Deputy and the president of the Valencia Community Tennis Federation, alongside the Circuit Director, who joined forces to unveil the competition’s format and schedule. The gathering also welcomed the tournament director and a representative from the Alicante Tennis Club, underscoring the involvement of local institutions in delivering a high-caliber experience for players, families, and fans. Their presence highlighted the collaborative effort required to organize a multi-stage event of this scale and the commitment of local authorities to promote sport as a key component of youth development.
Officials emphasized the value of this partnership with the Diputación de Alicante, praising the dedication and hard work of the organizers. They noted that the initiative not only encourages healthy, active lifestyles through sport but also helps raise awareness of the region as a destination for tourism and culture. The collaboration is seen as a meaningful driver of local economic activity, with the tournament acting as a catalyst for community engagement, hospitality, and regional visibility during the fall and early winter months. The emphasis remains on providing a positive, inclusive sports experience that motivates young players to pursue excellence while representatives communicate the rich sporting heritage of the province to a broad audience.
The competition features three stages with divisions for boys and girls aged 8 to 20 from the Valencian Community and from other regions. Participants are sorted into categories that recognize varying skill levels and age groups, ensuring fair competition and opportunities to progress. The finest performers by the end of these rounds will earn invites to the Circuit Main during the week of December 5 to 11, hosted at the Alicante Tennis Club. This final phase serves as the culmination of the season, spotlighting emerging talents and rewarding dedication with a chance to compete at the highest national level. The event’s broader aim is to inspire younger athletes, boost local tennis infrastructure, and strengthen ties among clubs, coaches, families, and regional sports authorities.
