The captain of the Amkal media football club, Sibskana, used his social media to accuse Krylya Sovetov defender Nikolai Rasskazov of lying after Rasskazov had previously criticized media football for its perceived filth.

He proclaimed, “Don’t pretend to be saints, you budget-conscious critics. If things were not hidden, we would know the full story of your clash with Umyarov in the youth ranks, the incident that led to your expulsion and your subsequent exclusion from future invites.”

Sibskana also challenged Sibirskan’s surroundings. He questioned the character of those who recall the moment when a Zambian player was mistreated in the League of Legends league, and then seized by the collar, asking whether that environment was acceptable.

In the 2022/23 season, Media League clubs took part in the Russian Cup for the first time. 2DROTS was defeated by Tekstilshchik of Ivanovo in the 1/128 round, and Amkal fell to a St. Petersburg side led by former Spartak player Dmitry Kombarov in the 1/64 round. Petersburg also suffered a defeat to Zvezda in that campaign.

Amkal returned to the Russian Cup this season, where they were eliminated by Tekstilshchik on penalties during the second qualifying round of the Road to Regions.

A former footballer remarked that in the Media League, players often lose their composure and cross boundaries they should not cross.
