Security Specialist and Digital Vulnerability Hunter Andy Nguyen could hack PlayStation 5, using much the same method as the PS4 two years ago.
To do this, he used a flash drive formatted in the exFAT file system. In addition, the USB stick was corrupted in a special way so that the exploit could run and access the system kernel.
A specially prepared flash drive overflows the console buffer with variable formats of different sizes. This, in turn, paves the way for a PS5 jailbreak that will allow the console owner to run unofficial content on it, including pirated versions of games.
Pretty much the same method was used by Andy Nguyen when hacking PS4 in 2020. Then he reported the vulnerability to Sony, for which he received a sum of $ 10,000 from the company (about 590 thousand rubles).
The new discovery brought the vulnerability hunter the same amount again.
Meanwhile, another enthusiast is developing a full-fledged emulator for PlayStation 5. Eight games were launched with it in August.🔞 Top 30 Mobile Porn Games
