GPD has discontinued its Win Max 2 compact gaming laptop with an Intel 1260P processor. So only the version with Ryzen 6800U and 680M graphics card remained.
The reason is simple: the version on Intel was significantly slower than its counterpart. This manifested itself in several tasks, but the graphics showed themselves worst of all, which was twice as weak. Already after the end of the fundraising campaign on the Indiegogo site, orders for Win Max 2 with Intel 1260P started to be canceled.
At the same time, the “refuseniks” were offered an order conversion: instead of a model with a Core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM, you can take an option with a Ryzen 6800U and 32 GB of RAM (it is only 15-20% more expensive). Granted, this moves the deadline for receiving the order to November instead of October.
There is no word yet on when the new mini laptops will hit retail.
