Khachanov lost to Norwegian Kasper Ruud in the semi-finals. The match, which lasted 3 hours and 3 minutes, ended with the scores of 6:7 (5:7), 2:6, 7:5, 2:6.

“I think this US Open Karen should of course add to her existence. She played very well. As for the match with Ruud, he lost to a world-class tennis player who is currently one of the strongest of the tour.

Before the tie-break of the first set, the game was absolutely even. Based on the game Karen had, she kept it as close as possible to the tactics that brought her success throughout the tournament. Ruud led this match to victory, but the game was a pleasure,” said Selivanenko “Sport-Express”.

Ruud will face Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open final. The winner of this match will take first place in the updated world rankings of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

The US Open will be held in New York and will run until 9/11. The total prize fund of the competition is $60 million.
