Football Federation building bombed in Turkey

In Turkey, unidentified people opened fire on the country’s Football Federation building in Istanbul. This has been reported NTV.

Former Bayern football player Hamit Altıntop was hit in the head by a bullet, he was slightly injured as a result of breaking a glass. Unidentified persons fled in a car after firing 7 shots. Three bullets hit the federation president’s office and meeting room, but no one was injured. The footage will be investigated.

There are no comments from Turkish Football Federation yet.

In the World Cup qualifying tournament held in Qatar, the Turkish national team came second in its group, losing only to the Netherlands. In the play-offs, Stefan Kunz’s team lost to Portugal with a score of 1:3 and failed to advance to the final stage of the tournament.

Recall that the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to exclude all Russian clubs, as well as the Russian national team, from participating in all competitions controlled by these organizations.

The World Cup in Qatar will be held from 20 November to 18 December 2022.

It was previously reported that Russia will pay more than 2 billion rubles for the purchase of TV rights to show the 2022 World Cup.
