Tennis player Medvedev spoke about mistakes he made in Cincinnati’s game with van de Zandshulp.

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev appreciated the match in which he defeated Botik van de Zandshulp from the Netherlands in the second round match of the tournament held in Cincinnati, USA.

“The first set was great. Everything worked. I had breaking points in three games, but I managed to take a break in the first game and that was enough. The second set didn’t come out very clean, but it can’t be called bad. Botik didn’t serve very well today, he made a lot of double mistakes. So I tried to hold on to the pressure and take my chances.

I think I did a good job at the front desk. Two breaks are enough to win on these fast courts, but I need to get better on the serve. I am happy that I managed to go further because the first fight in the tournament is always difficult. I hope I can improve myself in the next matches.” official site Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

Medvedev in the second round to win With a score of 6:4, 7:5. The interview lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes.

The Russian applied seven times, made four double mistakes and converted three out of nine break points. Van de Zandshulp made four aces, made 11 double faults and also achieved a breakout point out of three.

Currently, Medvedev maintains the lead in the Professional Tennis Players Association (ATP) rating. On August 15, the Russian started its 13th week in the world’s first racket rankings, which set a new Russian record in men’s singles. Previously, this record (in 2000 and 2001) was broken by Marat Safin. He was the leader of the ATP rankings for nine weeks.
