The Norwegian Ski Federation will amend its roller skiing rules after the death of young Slovenian skier Hana Mazi Jamnik. TV2.
The organization has developed a new regulation for inline skiing, together with the country’s National Road Administration and the Norwegian Biathlon Federation, to improve the safety of athletes training on public roads.
Remember, 19-year-old Yamnik died as a result of an accident in the Strand commune of Norway. The athlete was hit by a truck in the tunnel. The skier, who was taken to the hospital by helicopter, could not be saved. The driver pleaded not guilty, but has already been charged.
“The charge is based on the fact that he allegedly drove negligently. The man’s lawyer, Sigurd Renningen, said in a comment to NRK television that he did not admit that he was negligent. He survived a tragic accident. In general, he is doing well and thinks about those who should be most concerned.
Jamnik was part of the Slovenian cross-country ski team in the 2022/23 season.
