Sochi midfielder Artur Yusupov has criticized the club’s management for the Russian Premier League’s (RPL) lack of transfers in the off-season.
“Will Sochi be able to repeat the success of last season? If there are acquisitions, yes. With such transfers that are happening right now, that is unlikely. We need new purchases. Players are leaving but new ones are not coming to the team. There are no benches!
The only person who came is Sarveli, no one else. The rest are still young and vicious, I think we are unlikely to do that, ”says Yusupov. “Sport-Express”.
After five starting rounds of the RPL, last season’s silver medalist Sochi is in fifth place with nine points. The team won three victories and suffered two defeats in the fifth round, including losing to Spartak with a score of 0:3.
In the sixth round of the RPL, Sochi will play away with Rostov. The match will be played on August 20 and will start at 20:00.
Former coach of Sochi Vadim Garanin announcedWhy didn’t the club release Ecuadorian midfielder Christian Noboa despite special transfer offers from CSKA and Zenit?
