Retroid can represent the second generation of the foldable portable Pocket Flip console. However, there are no details about the characteristics and design. This was announced by the author of the Joey’s Retro Handhelds YouTube channel and said the device is really developing.
The original Retroid Pocket Flip appeared in 2023 and caught the attention of Retro-Gaming enthusiasts thanks to the form factor of the lining, reminiscent of the Nintendo DS (but without the second screen). The console was equipped with a Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset, a 4.7-inch display and a 5000 mAh battery, which was enough for emulating games from PlayStation 2, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, GameCube and other platforms.

If rumors are confirmed, Pocket Flip 2 will probably receive a more powerful hardware filling than its predecessor. The possible update of the processor and eliminating the shortcomings of the design can make it competitive against the background of comparable models from Miyoo and Anbernic. There was no official announcement yet, but fans of Retro Gimming are already looking forward to the news.
