The Brazilian forward of Saudi Al-Hilal Neymar will return to his hometown and sign a contract with Santos, the club where he started his professional career. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports this on his social networks.
The source claims that Santos sent a formal offer to Al-Hilal, which is not opposed to getting rid of the highly paid footballer.
Neymar was transferred to Al-Hilal from French Paris Saint-Germain for 90 million euros in the summer of 2023 and managed to play a total of 5 matches in the new team and score one goal. On October 18, 2023, Neymar was injured in the match of the Brazilian national team against Uruguay – his cruciate ligaments and meniscus were torn. His recovery was expected to take approximately ten months.
Neymar played for Barcelona from 2013 to 2017. As a member of Barcelona, he won the Spanish title twice (2014/15, 2015/16) and won the Spanish Cup three times. The Catalans won the Champions League in the 2014/15 season.
Neymar has been playing for the Brazilian national team on the international stage since 2010. He became the Olympic champion in 2016.
