Athletic journalist Dom Lushchishin shared his opinion about the player of the National Hockey League (NHL) club Alexander Ovechkin.

“Ovechkin was on the right track to play at his level in the first half of last season. But gradually he lost ground,” said Lushchishin.

Lushchishin also noted that despite approaching the contract price last season, Washington hockey player Yevgeny Kuznetsov is no longer worth the money.

Ovechkin, 36, scored 50 goals and made 40 assists last regular season. This allowed him to become the fourth-best goal scorer in the NHL regular season. In the completed NHL playoffs, the Russian has six (1 + 5) effective actions in six games, and the benefit indicator is -2.

Washington Capitals finished the fight for the Stanley Cup in the 1/8 final stage, losing to Florida 4:2 in the series.

Alexander Ovechkin, former captain of the National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals club donated Hockey equipment of Russian broadcaster Vyacheslav Leontiev (Buster).
