Dynamo Moscow goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk said he did not see any bad behavior towards Russians in the USA during his vacation “RB Sports”.
“A taxi driver in New York started asking what I was doing, I told him I played for Dinamo, and he told me that Mexican Chavez played for Dinamo. There is no bad attitude towards Russians, I did not notice it,” Leshchuk said.
On December 2, 2024, the Moscow club drew 1:1 with Akhmat Grozny in the 17th round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Akhmat’s Kazakh forward Maxim Samorodov scored the goal in the 22nd minute of the match. In the last 96th minute of the match, Leshchuk entered the penalty area for a corner and sent the ball to the goal, saving Dinamo’s game.
Leshchuk became the first goalkeeper to score in Russia’s top-flight football league in 23 years. Before that, on September 22, 2001, Torpedo-ZIL goalkeeper Andrei Novosadov scored a penalty in a match against Fakel.
Previously Leshchuk named People’s team “Dynamo”.
