Washington showed video of Ovechkin and corgi 15:31

The press service of the Washington Capitals published a video on their social networks showing Russian forward and team captain Alexander Ovechkin with a corgi.

Ovechkin appeared with a corgi before the National Hockey League’s (NHL) regular season game against the Anaheim Ducks. The club organized this event to announce the problem of homeless animals. Capital cities do this every year. All the hockey players of the team came to the arena with the dogs.

The meeting ended with a score of 3:0. Ovechkin did not make an effective move in the match.

Ovechkin continues to pursue Canadian forward Wayne Gretzky’s “eternal” sniping record. The Canadian player scored 894 goals in 1,487 matches during his career. Ovechkin now has 873 goals, the difference is 21 goals. He scored 20 goals this season. Thanks to his penultimate goal, he rose to 12th place among the top scorers in regular season history with 1,580 points.

The Washington team is the leader in the Eastern Conference, collecting 63 points in 44 games. In the next game of the regular season, the team will face the Ottawa Senators away on January 17.

Previously Ilya Kovalchuk in the name Ovechkin doesn’t think about Gretzky’s record.
